[ For anyone who has been here for a while, the communicator turning itself on and staying on can only mean one thing. The Doctor is ready to talk. At first the communicator just shows a plain warehouse room from the looks of it, and a small wave of smoke floating up in front of the screen. There is a faint snap in the area, and the device ( Read more... )

I've been questioned as to why I let my experiments die. This is the answer.

Am I not allowed? It was my daughter one of my experiments killed. I believe fear is necessary.

You should respect her. You shouldn't have shown us this.

She's already dead, what is there to respect? She was the cities closest ally to me, and of course, one of my experiments killed her.

There's still her to respect. Don't you feel anything?

There is no respect once you're dead. Death, is death.

Sometimes, but if you don't think there are those around that can bend the rules, well. As I always say, there's so such thing as no such thing.

[If there is one thing that Naomi Hunter has become well acquainted with over the last three and a half years away from home, it would be the importance of a good, dramatic entrance to catch the public eye and attention of everyone nearby.

Back in Somarium, that dream city stuck far out into the desert, Naomi had seen her fair share of dramatic entrances and flashy exits from the mysterious beings in charge. Without even the slightest hint of their intent, they had crashed down upon the unsuspecting residents and tossed as many horrendous events at them as possible. They had released unbeatable monsters to scour the city, caused a dark flood that had somehow risen frighteningly over the tops of many buildings and homes, and had even gone so far as to plant false memories within everyone so that they believed they had lived through two completely different lives. Even after all her time away from that place, the impact of those events and just how startlingly abrupt they had been will always sit with Naomi ( ... )

[ The doctor watches the feed, with just the slightest bit of interest. Ah, she remembered her. One of her newer experiments, though not quite a good one as she thought. But she had potential. ]

Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be? I have such a marvelous city built around me, with almost obident little puppets. This one, [ She gives an off-glance to the robot, or what was left of it ] thought she would hurt me.

[If Naomi knew at all what was going through the doctor's sharp mind, she would frown terribly at the mention of herself being 'not quite a good one'. After all, how could a woman as immensely intelligent as she was not qualify for whatever experiment was going on in the background of this place?

...Then again, perhaps it was for the best that she was mostly overlooked in favor of the more brash and loud residents. As much as Naomi generally thrived for attention from the crowd around her, there were always times when going unnoticed was far safer. This was definitely one of them.]

I shouldn't be at all surprised by your answer, though those 'obedient, little puppets' of yours don't seem to cooperate quite the way you intended them to. If they really were as devoted as you say, you wouldn't need to destroy them.

Is that not clear to most people?
Might we get a new update tomorrow on the blueness of the sky, or the greenness of the grass? Perhaps on the daily rising of the sun?

[He scans the area in the video carefully trying to look for clues as to her whereabouts, fantasizing about killing the Doctor herself.]

If you would pay attention to people, my dear sweet Sephiroth, you would remember people questioned my actions of not reviving people who died here.

This is simply just an answer.
