Hsin Yeow's thoughts: Connecting With Adam Sandler

I really liked the decor for Edmund and Brenda's wedding. Having sung at Evelyne's wedding a week ago, I thought the decor for Edmund and Brenda would be similar. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the whole ballroom looked more spacious and airy; there was also more space for the band because the piano was moved to the reception area, much to Jonathan's dismay. He really prefers playing on the piano, which gives him more opportunities to display his prodigious skills.

It was a challenging night, for me anyway. I was trying hard to connect with the crowd, who seemed more at ease with listening to our performance quietly, without much clapping. Applause is so important for performers like us, so I was really pleased to see someone mouthing the words when I was singing Grow Old With You. That's a sign that I was connecting with her. Sure enough, the crowd finally warmed up to us during our second set, and gave us our much-needed applause when we ended the night.
