Hsin Yeow's thoughts: 給我你的愛 (Give Me Your Love)
Meeting Gary and Faith at Amanda and Si Guan's wedding was a boon, as they helped to shed some light into how the couple met.
Gary said, "They knew each other as colleagues. But the relationship started only after Si Guan left the company. Apparently the office was a "breeding ground" for relationships because that's how Faith and I got to know each other too!"
Faith added, "Si Guan takes great care of his appearance. Not a hair can be out of place with him!"
I noted this little tidbit with a grin, as I later watched the video highlights of the challenges Si Guan and his groomsmen had to overcome when they went to fetch Amanda. Let's just say it's tough to care too much about one's appearance when one is faced with locked gate and fierce-looking bridesmaids!
Hui Bing, Matthew and I had a great time performing for Amanda and Si Guan. Matthew's fingers were on fire that night, and many of his jazzy solos were pure ear candy. He also managed to attract a horde of kids who stood entranced by the piano while he played.
The older guests applauded after every song; many of the guests also gave us the thumbs-up when we sang a song they particularly enjoyed.
Thank you, Amanda and Si Guan, for engaging us! Congratulations, and we wish both of you every happiness.
