Provided you are wrapped up nice and warm, the weather has been glorious up here for the past few days - I'll take cold with glorious sunshine and lovely pink wintery sunsets over wet and miserable any day. I am eating reheated leftover stew from yesterday, wearing an outfit reminiscent of a purple pirate wench, which is somewhat wasted by the fact I haven't left the house all day and only The Boy has seen it. I gave in to the weather today and bought new knitwear, tights and long socks, and turned the heating on for the first time since May. Fortunately, this is not going to be as damaging to my financies as I feared because it looks like the funders have finally got their arses in gear, and I'll be getting paid to write a report this month after all :)

Now have one poured vase, a slab vase, a coil pot, a little bowl and two thrown vases drying out in preparation for Raku at pottery. Apparently, we are going to learn how to make our own glazes and everything, because this is an official ceramics module rather than just a leisure class (there was a timetabling mix-up apparently, it was supposed to ( Read more... )
