Lights on, heating on, and I saw snow flakes amongst the rain battering on the window. Having planned to put away my winter clothes today seems rather premature now

It was sleeting in amongst rain and not settling but still...
It's actually the guttering rather than the roof that is the problem but we live in a shared ownership tenement building on a main road and we can't get anyone to come and fix it at the moment because of all the permissions issues involved :(
