Oooh when does the contract run out?

Good question. It was supposed to run out at the end of this month but then there was some discussion about there being extra money in the pot and being able to pay me for a few more weeks, but I don't really know what is happening about that, because there were still costs from the meeting in September that hadn't been taken off the grant, and we supposedly aren't getting all the money until i submit this last report. I should probably ask Pete if he has had any emails from HR about it...

There was a global email went out a couple of weeks ago, reminding PIs that they had to complete reports on time for funders, as funders were holding back the final payment and sometimes not paying at all - which was leaving a financial hole for the university to fill.

Having worked on one of those projects where the funders have held back the final payment (not for delayed report - difficult recruitment), it didn't half cause a hell of a lot of crap at the time.

Mmmm, the forest ones are lovely - I quite like the cascade one too, very powerful.
