so... i dont know what it is, if it's my PS2 player dying a very slow and painful death, or if it's just the DVD's i've been getting... but i swear to God, every disc that i'm looking forward to watching from a TV show always winds up being "damaged" or "unreadable

Silly PS2 player and/or dumb DVDs! I know what you mean... I have a TV with a DVD player built into it and it will just randomly decide it doesn't like DVDs and skip all the way through them. *Sigh* Ooooh technology...
