Okay, so it's Monday and I've yet to post my helplesss squeeee over episode 5x02 - The Seed. Blame it on a busy weekend (well, that and it being double XP weekend on City of Villains :D).
Lovely recap and I loved the fact that other people on the team shined in this. I'm glad they didn't go the way with Woosley where he's an ass from the start to end..he's not even that. He's a by the book person who breaks all the rules and feels vulnerable about it.
Also yea, the contunity for TLM and Rodney's 'Sheppard's here now" will fix everything moment is just great! And John keeping what he knows to himself.
I've got to say...I still don't buy the vine going through John. Even the pic with the arrows shows the vine stab him and there are a lot of other vines behind him. I think its just a trick of the light because honestly..having that go all the way though him would have been a HUGE/major traumatic injury and a bit over the top. So, I'm just not sure about that..but maybe someone could ask JM on his blog saying its a questions of debate :-P
I, too, enjoyed the episode and the whump. Whump for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I always say! About the CPR thing: Yeah, it was distracting. I mean, if you can't do TV CPR convincingly, don't do it at all. Most seizure patients go into respiratory arrest before they code. The script could have called for Sheppard to stop breathing instead of coding for all of 10 seconds like that. But, you know, I pick the nits.
This week's the big Ronon whump episode and I believe you may get a dose of your beloved Shep whump, as well. Seizures are fine. Getting impaled by a vine is good too (did it really go all the way through him? Must have missed that somehow), but give me some friend-turns-on-friend goodness and I'm pretty much on board. Hope you get everything you're looking for on Friday!
And we got an infirmary scene to finish. And my niggle with this scene is the same as with S&R - Sheppard looked way too healthy.
Ahahaha, I was actually really happy about that scene. Partly, I suspect, because I was enjoying the whump too much to actually stop and think about the logistics of it, but mostly because of Sheppard's whitewhitewhite red-eyed bruised little FACE. He looks thoroughly put through the wringer, makeup-wise. \o/
