I have returned from the depths of Southern California.

I spent the vast majority of my time either asleep or reading -- either way, in air conditioning. On the minus side, the hotel room got to feel really confining. I fail at phase shifting.

I'm trying to make a lariat, of which one end will be a plumb bob that has sentimental value, and I can't find anything suitable for the other end.

My poi handles are rubbing my fingers raw. (Should I tape up my fingers, make different handles (how??), or just suck it up till I grow calluses?)

Today's strategy: be active all day, tire myself out, and go to sleep before midnight.

I'm outside just now, practicing poi, and I'm almost beginning to get this complicated new move, the five-beat weave. At least, I can sometimes do a whole iteration of it without whacking myself. My work on the LCC2 relay is progressing fine, I think. Except, it turns out that a lot of the work I did yesterday is invalid, because of some things I overlooked / temporarily forgot about.
