That usage of "fair" is normal IYD? What dialect is that? It's definitely not normal IMD. To my ear it sounds archaic and rustic (although that could be because Daine, the character who uses it, comes from a medieval backwater village).
To me, "unaccustomed" means "not being used to", but it's not on a strange/normal axis, rather on a "time spent being X" thing, and whether you're adapted to it yet or not. Also, "accustomed" seems more formal than "to be used to"
