That use of "fair" seems perfectly normal to me, but your use of "accustomed" is completely unintelligible to me. Explain please~

Also, "rawr" at your other commenter's userpic. :D?

Usual usage: "I'm unaccustomed to being a second semester senior".
My usage: the sentence in the post, or "Being a second semester senior is so unaccustomed. It's weird."

That usage of "fair" is normal IYD? What dialect is that? It's definitely not normal IMD. To my ear it sounds archaic and rustic (although that could be because Daine, the character who uses it, comes from a medieval backwater village).

I'm from Lancashire, NW England.

To me, "unaccustomed" means "not being used to", but it's not on a strange/normal axis, rather on a "time spent being X" thing, and whether you're adapted to it yet or not. Also, "accustomed" seems more formal than "to be used to"

Yeah, that's how it is for me too. But there's a strong correlation between strange/normal and time spent.

I always think "loll" when I see L-O-L. Mainly because I saw the acronym before I knew its meaning.
