Why the fuck does the Home for the Intractably Insane even have a Family Visiting Day? Nobody’s gonna visit us -- my ma’s not gonna bother to come see me. I’m sure she’s glad to be fucking rid of me.

Still, everyone has to go to the fucking 'lounge' to wait for their parents to show up. )

Aw, man. The Home for the Intractably Insane is not a very happy place, is it? What Rose did would probably get her locked up, I'm sure. Devin had an interesting thought -- I wonder what happens to super-crazy rich people? Do they have their own mental ward? Some kind of extra-plush resort?

I liked the detail of the puzzle war. It was kind of... touching and creepy at the same time. It made me really sad for Devin when ghost!Eric disappeared. Poor bb.

Maybe you can ask Wes what happens to the really mentally ill rich people? I bet they have a LOT more leeway in their behavior before they need to be locked up. Rich people are "eccentric," while poorer people are "crazy" or something like that in your world -- at least that's how I imagine it is. They probably do have some fancy resort if they end up too unstable to stay on the outside. Whatever happens to them has gotta be nicer than what happened to Devin.

I'm glad you liked the puzzle war. Knowing that pregnant people do end up in the hospital, I felt like I should include one in my story. Rose's situation and character, aside from the pregnancy, aren't really based on anyone I knew, unlike the puzzle war, though, heh.

Devinnnn. You CAN get out of there, bb. I know you can.

I just feel so bad for him because I think he's starting to pull shit together, just a little bit. Like he's catching on faster that Eric's not there every time he sees him, which is important. But still, poor guy. He's only 14. Jesus. lol

He just HAS to get the eff out of there -- this is one of those places that will make you more mental, rather than less mental. I hope he escapes sooner rather than later, but canon says it takes a while for him to get out, and I plan to be (mostly?) canon-compatible with this story. Yeah, I'm actually writing fic that fits into canon -- how about that? lol

I'm glad this is effective in making you feel bad for him. :)
