At 4:30, we got up and drove to the hospital to get my dad in by 5 am. Honestly, I felt sort of stupid for being there because it's such a simple surgery and it's not like I could do anything, anyway. But I did feel better just knowing that I was there for him. And they wheeled him in around 7:30 and came back an hour or so later and told us
