I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON ♥. There should be extra points for this level of devotion

Thanks! The drug has mostly left my system now so it's just the damn cough I started with. Seriously, though I had an adverse drug reaction in a piece I was working on and now that I've had one, I realize I didn't make the experience anywhere near horrific enough.

Thanks! Once I realized I wasn't actually going to die, I was mostly bored waiting for all my tests. But now I've had a complete workup and I'm fine, I just have this cold.

Good God woman! For real?! Also, they let you have a computer and wifi in the examination bay? I'm never even allowed my cell phone. Damn my healthcare system.

So what now? Are you allergic to Albuterol? And if so, what's the alternative if you have an asthma attack?

Oh and feel better and ignore the third degree if you like. I'm just in shock over the lack of quality computer time I've had in the ER and also, that you went into shock after receiving the treatment.

Oddly enough there was no wifi in the waiting area, only in the examining bay with all the monitoring equipment! I hope I didn't screw up my test results. I was typing with a pulse-ox monitor strapped to my index finger.

Go ahead, be nosy! I was obviously trolling for sympathy -- lol! I guess I am allergic or if not an actual allergy just a really strong reaction. They claim that jitters can lead to anxiety attacks so it's not so unheard of what happened, but I definitely didn't panic until after I started gagging and lost sensation in my limbs. And then yeah, I TOTALLY PANICKED.

Are you saying you panicked yourself into passing out because I'm so happy if that's the case. Not that that's good, but because I've totally done that and people to this day still love for me to tell the story of how I made myself panic by hyperventilating.

Although, just to reaffirm what they're saying, I always get the jitters after having Albuterol whether from my inhaler or as a treatment at the ER. However, I have never gagged and lost sensation of my limbs. So that's scary, huh?

Glad you're okay though! :D

I'm ok :-) Plus I have to say, the codeine cough syrup they gave me almost makes up for everything.

That is scary stuff! I hope you feel better now and are back at home to relax and get rid off that cough. Without Albuterol...

I feel much better today, and it's kind of cliche, but I have to say that I feel good just because I'm grateful to be alive! Definitely made me appreciate everything just a little bit more today.

Is this where I say I've had a cold all week and been wallowing in self-pity? No, I didn't think so! Good God, that must have been horrendous and so scary. Having had reactions myself in hospital, I know that the speed with which your body can go, Um, no thanks! is quite terrifying. But that really sounded like the stuff of nightmares.

I'm very glad you're okay. ♥ And it's amazing that you managed to still pimp Winterval while inadvertently starring in ER. That goes beyond the call of any duty!

Honestly LJ was keeping me sane in the hospital; posting gave me that illusory sense of control in an absolutely surreal and horrifying experience!

Well I hope you do feel better! These colds are a nightmare, and possibly if I'd been less intent on finding a quick fix to my cough and stayed home and rested to begin with, I might have avoided the whole thing!

(You know I totally asked for you in the team sign-up! But you were VERY in demand. Some day we should show you the sign-up and it would make you blush ❤)
