my period, without the help of birth control, well I think it tries to kill me. so I understand (but I hate taking it, I just do it because otherwise I am seriously out of commission for a few days every month)

i don't know where people get the idea that having your period 12 times a year is natural. well, probably because the men who invented the pill set the cycle at that, even though they could have set it as anything. before the industrial revolution, a woman might have 3 or 4 a year, because the rest of the time she was a) preganant or b) nursing. as women have started menstruating more, the rates of ovarian cancer have skyrocketed (those eggs don't just happily pop out of the ovary, they rip through the wall, and anytime your body has to heal, there's a chance of mutation and cancer)

I don't know where you get your "facts" from, but that entire comment is completely ridiculous. Pretty much everything you've said is either wrong, or a bizarre conclusion based on evidence that doesn't exist.

uh, it's been mentioned in peer reviewed journals as prestigious as the lancet, pretty much the most respected medical journal in the world.

a brief abstract with references as a good starting point is here , but the evidence is pretty clear.
