Richter had chosen to remain behind in the Ginnungagap after everything was said and done because... Well, he had never planned on returning to the surface world anyway. So imagine Richter's surprise when, after bidding Emil farewell, the half-elf blinked and realized that he wasn't standing at the Ginnungagap anymore. Some hours spent exploring quickly revealed that this world wasn't that different from Tethe'alla- Aselia. More or less the same, bar the Relic and how his weapons and artes were 'locked' away for the most part.

... To think that he'd be forced to re-learn his artes and spells. How strange.

Eventually, wandering around Mac Anu brought Richter to the crowd of NPCs and the strange wall. After all the ruins he and Aster had traveled through, the half-elf was more than a bit suspicious of the area and wholly unwilling to enter. At least until he got pushed towards the wall by a few NPCs. So here he was, standing at a canyon and looking more irritated than anything.

"Some welcome this is."

Kain gets zapped --? highwind_knight December 12 2010, 10:17:31 UTC
Kain barely paused to draw enough breath to snort disdainfully at Albel's crack; more important was his throwing himself into a swift lope towards the creatures, sword drawn from its sheath as he moved.

Training long since gone to instinct launched him after the beasts that had turned on Albel -- no sense moving on, dogpiling now meant the fewer adversaries the sooner -- even as he swore under his breath over the loss of his lances and, worse, his ability to dragon-leap.

Have to make do, then --

His blows against the swordfish were more to puncture, not slash; old habits died hard. And Kain had no idea of the paralyzing lightning charge ...

Well, that certainly was blunt.

It didn't take much longer before Richter joined in. Though he wasn't as badly affected by the lack of second weapon, any veteran could tell that Richter's attacks were slightly off balance. The monsters were still full of glitches and only capable of attacking half the time, so they weren't much of a threat to the handicapped Brandiers. The paralysis counter, on the other hand, was a bit troublesome for the two warriors that didn't have any modifications to repel it.

The shock numbed Richter's hands and Kain would probably feel the negative effects of the paralysis settling in; a few of their attacks were going to be rendered useless from the shock. The status ailments will wear away once the monsters have been defeated but until then...

Have fun whittling down their health while your hands are numb!
