Doctor Who fandom is going batshit today, but at least it's not Torchwood wank! (I don't usually read fandomsecrets [because it is a wretched hive of scum and villainy I don't care about your thoughts on yaoi] but yesterday's was basically the all Torchwood special wangsting edition.) Anyway. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the rolled up trousers.

Can't be bothered to get them tailored, just rolls them up! :D

I have to admit I'm excited about Alex Kingston being back. We don't KNOW that she's River Song, though if she is, ooooh! But it looks like she's in period dress.

Yeah, I noticed that she was sort of period looking--her hairstyle (which I quite like) as well as her dress. Fandom seems to be assuming she's River, because it brings potential drama... but I can totally see Moffat bringing her back as a different character just to mess with everyone.

HAHA, can you imagine the collective reaction if that happens? "LOOK, it's ALEX KINGSTON... playing someone compleeeeeeeeetely different!" I would not put it past the Moff, not at all!

Plus the show already has a long history of bringing back the same actors to play completely different characters.

They could bring Freema back as a *third* character. Or Billie Piper back as a new character, and really set off a speculative wankstorm...
