He is unbelievably good-looking in that scene with Jon, though, it's true! And in his own weird way, I think he's not just being a jerk, but actually trying to tell Jon something important about taking vows for the wrong reasons etc. etc. It just comes out the way it does because he's Jaime
Jaime is so gorgeous that I was just staring and consequently I don't even remember what he said. :D But oh, yes, he was so Jaime.
I am glad I am over "This is Sarah Connor, I like her!" with Cersei. If I could reach to the screen and stab her with a rusty knife at the end of the episode , I would. :D
Oh yes, I loved the blood on Summer's muzzle, I have chosen that screencap particularly because the blood is visible.
I didn't really have a problem with pace, I like slow reflective films, but I was just thinking of all the good bits that could have been stuffed in (which may be wrong of me). I am glad that they emphasized all the important parts, though.
Summer and Numeria have different coloring, but I thought Numeria and Lady are played the same wolf.
I was creeped out by Summer laying on, well, wolf furs, when she laid down next to Bran...
I was ranting after the previous episode to QoT: I am generally creeped out by the abundance of furs and by the way the furs look like corpses of dead animals. :( Yes, this is cheery me. :D
PS: I am so making icons from my wolf screencaps. Obsessed ? Yes I am.
I thought it was a better episode than ep 1. I mean even if nothing big happened, this episode allowed us to see further into the characters. I say this as someone who's never read the books, but from this episode we can see from the conversation he had with Jon that Jaime regrets a lot of the decisions he made in his youth
( ... )
** nods ** As you haven't read the books I will try not to spoil you (unless you will ask me to :D)
Tyrion sees through everyone's bullshit. He's incredibly sharp and I don't doubt that he noted that look that passed between his brother and sister when he mentioned that Bran might live after all.
Oh yes. I just want him to be recognized by other members of his family! Jaime always loved him, but the others? But on the other hand, I can kill any other member of that family with my bare hands. Especially the father.
Dany is slowly starting to take control of her life. I don't care if people say that she was just learning how to pleasure her man. It seemed to me that she realized that she couldn't just lie around and wait for things to get better because Drogo wasn't suddenly going to get gentler.Oh no! I haven't seen any comments like that! Because I have always read Dany's stories as you: she is out of the hands of her evil brother, she is still in a very hard environment (but at least not particular evil and much more sane
( ... )
For the first time in my life, I'm actually avoiding spoilers. I knew a few things coming into the show and to be honest, it took some of the enjoyment out of the first episode. I'm still spoiled for a few other things, but I'm trying to keep it to a bare minimum.
Tyrion is just AMAZING. I've seen Peter Dinklage in a few other things, but he's really killing it here. Every time he comes on screen I just start grinning like crazy. Like when he slapped Joffrey right across the mouth? Best scene ever.
That last sex scene between Dany and Drogo really was all sorts of hot.I know Drogo has barely spoken so far, but there was just something about how about how the actors played that scene that I loved. You can tell Dany is just trying to figure out how to maneuver this whole "sex" thing and Drogo looks so out of his depth.

He is just so funny and at the same time so sad? And his timing is perfect - he just nails his lines.

It didn't really hurt is that they cast Drogo as the hottest actor on the planet. I am a married woman and all but when he got in the tent all naked I was "OMPH! Can I show you the joys of non-Dothraki sex?".
Oh, oh! I supervised the fifth episode of GoT today, and there was a whole lot of Renly/Loras in it. Finally! LOL I love that in this case HBO is going where the books only hinted at. Tee hee... ;)
I am so looking forward to this. :D I am really glad that they didn't drop these really important, but still secondary character like Loras, Renly and Sandor.
The dogs used on the show are beautiful! I read that they are Northern Inuit dogs. Never heard of the breed till this show. In GRRM's journal there is an entry with the child actors on the show and the NI who played Lady. The actress who plays Sansa adopted the dog who played Lady. All the Dire Wolves on the show are a different Northern Inuit from the same breeder(It's an English breed). I thought they looked like a mixture between and German Shepherd and an Alaskan Malmute.
I think they made a good choice using the dogs instead of CGI. :)
This is really good information! And it is so sweet that the children bonded with the dogs! Thank you so much! I am really glad that the creators even went as far as casting different dogs for different "roles" . For me, the dogs are definitely one of the strongest aspects of the show (other strongest aspects: the casting of Tyrion and all Stark kids apart from Jon). I was so-so about the first episode (not enough dogs!) and the second episode filled that gap perfectly (gone the nameless whores, hello the lovely dogs) .
I have heard of the breed before but haven't seen in RL. Huskies look quite different.
I read that they have Husky in them as well as the other two breeds I mentioned. But the one in the picture above looks more Alaskan Malmute to me. Tyrion is one of my favorite characters. I'm really pleased with the casting for him. And the Starks as well. I'm still waiting to see more from Jon, but I'm not very thrilled with the casting for him either. The actor just looks like a big pouty boy. I'm uncertain.
I haven't watched last night's ep yet. Tonight, if I can pull myself away from the news.

Jon is getting somewhat better for me in the episode three. I wonder what you will think when you watch it.
But Tyrion! YUM!. I am so going to ship him and Sansa.
