“Of course I am,” Hugo teased as he looked after him but then mumbled to himself, “Why am I brilliant this time?”
Ever the wise counselor. *g*

“Viggo, please…I…It…it doesn’t hurt. It’s okay,”
Exactly the right dialog for the character in this situation.

The start of Viggo remembering was intense, from the 'cracking' of the Alter's control to the front yard was an intense trip. And I'm glad you gave Karl a way to assuage his guilt.

Karl's right, they do have to be seperated. I also like the circle of friends dealing with things, as best they can. It's perfect considering it's LotR people, and I like anything having to do with friends.

I'm so glad to see another chapter in this story. The recap was a nice touch, too.

Thank you.

Just caught up with the 'new' chapter for this story. I do hope you will find the time and space to complete it. Fascinating stuff. Hope all will end happily for them.
Great read - thank you

I remember I started reading this story ages ago some other place, but when I found this chapter it all came back to with a bang, I didn't have to go back and read the previous chapters. Your writing pulls the reader right into the story. I loved Hugos "Of course I am. Why am i brilliant this time" and I'm absolutely in love with your Karl. And how his friendship to Orlando slowly develops into something more in front of everyone's eyes but almost unnoticed by the two of them is so heartwarming.
I do hope there will be more of this story eventually.
