Exactly, perfectly said. That's the main thing to me, Obama is current, living in the now with modern and even forward thinking ideas whereas McCain/Palin is trapped on a time scale sliding between the 50's and the middle ages. Equality should be a no-brainer, and I'm ashamed to see that half my country doesn't understand that.

We celebrated Obama's victory over here but I was sad to hear that even California voted no to equality in marriage. Though how in the world you can ever put minority rights to a vote is beyound me; it will by definition always be a losing situation.
