PotC Fanart Recs. Part 2, Other media

Feb 12, 2012 19:13

A fanart. What do you think? A drawing, a manip, maybe a wallpaper or an icon. In general, a picture. What about other media?
Actually, not all of these works are fanarts, strictly speaking. Some of them were paid for, some of them were made for sale. But there's enough of quite a non-commercial passion in any of them to make them more than commercial things.

Part 1, Surprises

Important
Tiptoeing the problematic line between brazen hotlinking and posting a list of plain links for which no one will give neither a damn or a click *cough*and they'd need more description then*cough*, I decided to post a list of active teasers which, hopefully, are teasing enough to repay dA in clicking. A lot of clicking. PLEASE??? *desperate look* And putting the matter of dA's bandwidth aside, not that I deem this journal so extraordinarily popular to really strain it anyway, just do it to give these artists some love. If you can't comment or fav on dA, still you can click - let them know that their work is viewed. It matters too, really.
And yet a technical note: if you can't see any images, don't panic, there's a few possible ways.
1. Reload.
2. Try another browser.
3. Click titles.
4. If still nothing helps, let me know, please.

So, let's go?

Noel Cruz aka noeling repaints mass-produced merchandise dolls. Sounds unimpressively? Just take a look.

And for some reason, this is photo enthralls me.

There's more of PotC in the artist's gallery, and not only PotC!

Do you know what a matryoshka is?

Pirates of the Caribbean IV... by Igor Siwanowicz aka Blepharopsis

...or 'Revenge of the Zombie Monkey', as the artist says. The work is a photo, and all the gallery is worth your time, my word on this, even if there's no more of PotC, cause Blepharopsis is definitely one of the best and the most original photographers you can meet in the Net.

Custom shoes - PotC by Lillgoban

Actually, it's not so rare idea, but I choose this work for the execution, its using of the space, the using of colours, and the drawing rivalling with any paper-based ones. And personally I'd be afraid to use them. The shoes, that is. ;)

Jack Sparrow Pirate Flag by kyotiutsukushii

Close look, please, it took A LOT of work. Jack would be satisfied, I suppose. ;)

What a fate for Davy... ;)

Have a... Jack time? Aye!

The Black Pearl by ArteDiAmore

In spite of everything, do NOT eat it, no matter how tempting. Have mercy, Jack would be inconsolable.

In fact, it's a manip, not a real thing. But it's quite easy to not care about that, isn't it? ;)

Halt the world! OK, jokes apart, now why's the rum gone?

PotC Jack O'Lanterns are quite popular, but that one is particularly intricate.

So, anyone willing for more recs? :)
