I totally get why you're rather disappointed. I also felt they didn't do much with Jack - I can dig that he has lost his mojo at te beginning but they don't really show him getting back into the groove on his own, he's always kinda dragged along. It's not Depp's fault because he really tries I think, but he doesn't have the material he used to have here

he's always kinda dragged along. I didn't even think about it, but yes, you're right!
The Pearl coming back... ohh I got a bit teary eyed, I'd missed her sooo much! *high five* :)
The wedding scene was really unnecessary and I've got no idea why it was there - to let time pass so that Barbossa can show up? Whatever reason the creators came up with, the whole movie felt for me very much "I got an idea! Let's squeeze it somewhere in here," no matter whether it has anything to do with anything. Just a heap of random 'brilliant' ideas. :/ Those sharks were another one. And probably Shansa, too... Every and each of them could work and be actually brilliant, if it was a logical part of something bigger and, well, thought through. Maybe except the wedding. Nothing could save that...
if they hadn't been so stupid they could've kept Groves from OST... Ha! *wipes a tear*
I wouldn't be sad if they stopped making these movies. BUt I'd also come back to watch another oneTo be honest, I hope there won't be another. :/ I didn't ever really want

I admit that I laughed at parts of the wedding because it was so ridiculous, but looking back it serves no purpose. It's not even a really good idea. The sharks were kinda cool, and I'm okay with them being there because it was a fun action scene. Shansa is surely a victim of editing. Or the writer didn't get why Tia Dalma was so effective in DMC - she also had only two scenes, but they were important ones in the middle (to get the whole plot going forward and leading into the big action sequences) and then at the very end with her serving as a breathing space for the devastated crew and also bringing Barbossa back. Shansa only does exposition which usually was Gibbs part. XD And she looks cool

The sharks were kinda cool They were, but I'd like to get some 'why' and 'how' about them... Just some 'in universe' reason for them to be there. As it were, they had only 'out of universe' reason - being cool.

Exactly!
I'd given up hope to see this work of perfection finished but it will be - and it'll be great closure, I think. Same here! :)
