Here I am, working my ass off in Spain, whilst the Uk appears to be under attack left right and centre. Found this little gem on the BBC news page whislt catching up with the news back home

"Under attack left right and centre" seems like overstating it, unless I missed something. The article I saw, in summary, was:
1. Someone crashed a burning car into Glasgow airport. 2. This was "similar" to a "planned" attack in London. 3. The alleged London intent-to-attacker had a "suspicious device" on him. 4. The suspicious device wasn't an explosive.
From which I conclude: From 1 and 2. Oh no terror alert critical! Someone is doing something on purpose that is almost precisely as dangerous as the sort of thing people do by accident all the fucking time. From 3 and 4. Terror alert critical, maybe I shouldn't use an mp3 player for a while, or the terrorists government might get me.
This isn't about religion, it's about a bunch of kids that never learned to grow up and accept things as they are. For them sulking, whining, and using hit and run before anyone realises who it is comes 2nd nature to them.
If they spout their religious beliefs, it's just them trying to create an excuse or justify their actions. At the same time, failing to understand their own religion in the process (Generally it seems to come 1st nature to them).
Oh btw, as for the Critical Alert thing, I think that's a bit over-blowing everything out of proportion a bit too. Two recent attacks is hardly enough to slow traffic down and consume valuable police time in car searches and such. It's just Gordon Brown trying his best to be viewed on differently to Tony Blair. He's trying to make as extreme opposite reaction as the previous Prime Minister as possible, in the hopes that people will recognise how different he is to Tony Blair (And by that, he's showing how much he thinks his ways are right by comparison).
Have you ever been to Picadilly Circus, or the Troc? I cannot *begin* to imagine the carnage that would have ensued if something had actually gone off then. We're just very lucky we got caught in time. The Troc bomb has hit me hard personally, as I've been there a lot, and was driving through there less than 2 weeks ago.
If 4 (count 'em) bombing attempts isn't enough for Critical what is? A nuke going off at the Houses of Parliament?
Hm... well 4 is a bit more serious. I don't have TV (Thanks to the builders for this new building for screwing things up and not connecting my sockets to anything), so what little news I get comes from the BBC Website, which apparently don't keep things updated too much since I found a related article to one on their frontpage and after following it found out that tiny link that's contained within the news was actually more up-to-date and a follow-on for that article (Maybe they do original information on the frontpage and then you can see how it's progressed from there? idk
