Here I am, working my ass off in Spain, whilst the Uk appears to be under attack left right and centre. Found this little gem on the BBC news page whislt catching up with the news back home.
The Quran
- There shall be no compulsion in religion. Surah 2
- Show forgiveness, speak out for justice, turn away from ignorance. Surah 7
- Become a people that speak for righteousness, offers justice and turns away from evil. Surah 3
- ‘These people are unbelievers.’ So turn away while wishing them peace. Soon they shall know their error. Sura 43
- Whoever forgives and seeks reconciliation will be rewarded by Allah. Surah 42
- Dissipate evil with good. Surah 13
- You shall not kill. Surah 17
I have no idea how accurate they are, but at it's heart, most religions promote peace and understanding. To a degree, they promote 'be nice to other people, and you'll get your reward in the afterlife'. Just a shame about these... nutters. :-(
