I have lost the ability to speak and write in the English language. I can only spew out strange tech-speak like "the patron's record is retrieved by scanning a barcode on the library card" (you also have to pronounce it "paTRON", so it creates an image of generic individuums all marching with their library cards to the circulation desk to "retrieve ( Read more... )

Yeah, Shakespear is probably not the best candidate for rolling in the grave, but his name was stuck in my head, and I didn't bother to find someone else :). I'm pretty sure, though, that he is still rolling because of my amazing stilted sentence structures :).

Techspeak, oh how I love it. Seriously. I think it's fascinating how many words have been added to the English language thanks to the computer - who would have ever spoken in terms of input, output and throughput, but for us geeks. :)
