What sports teams do you root for? Why?

My friends list tends not to write about sports, but I do know I have some fanatics (castarlet - Rams, aliki - Yankees (ewwww!), antisocialite - Redskins, woolf - Red Wings, erechtheus - Dolphins, majorweather - Lakers are the ones that jump to mind

I could not handle being a Bears fan. My college suitemates were and I saw the deep depression it left them in first hand.

Yes! You must have sports. I hear of this sport, football, which doesn't involve 350 pound men running into each other at full speed. Sounds dull. But go ahead anyway.

Yes! We have football. I don't really follow, but I have a familial allegiance to Fulham FC, who used to suck profoundly, then got bought my Mohammed al Fayed (owner of Harrods, father of Dodi, who was shagging Princess Di at the time of their deaths) and got really good, by buying loads of foreign players (which is the way it generally works in the premier league over here).

SF Giants, GS Warriors, no longer a NFL fan (but will quietly root for the local team), and all teams Cal related. Grrrrr...
