Dentists and auto service

Jan 16, 2006 20:55

Can anyone recommend any good dentists and auto repair/service centers (particularly for SAAB vehicles)? Also, to the maintainer, could you save this entry as a "memory" if it generates useful replies?

medicine, advice, cars, dentist

Thats a very interesting combination. Did the air bag not work?

If you want body work then I've used Duke City Body and they did great work. They are a smaller shop and take a bit longer than expected but the car looked like new when they were done.

For engine work etc you probably should take it to the SAAB dealership and have them hack with it.

I got an estimate at Duke once. They seemd nice, but the place was a mess.

I've had body work done at ENchanted Auto on Palomas. They did nice work, but kept the car longer than they said they would.

Whatever you do, don't bring it to a dealer.

I never even knew that we had a street called "St. Cyr" until recently. I love it. I think of Lily St. Cyr every time.

For dentistry, I go to Mary Ann Lucero. Their prices are reasonable which means they don't have the fanciest office.

For auto repair:

A lot of people I know recommend Jim's Automotive. My roommate uses them. They seem to be honest and do quality work, but they're a little expensive (and mainly for Japanese cars...I don't know what SAAB vehcles are).

I also went to "Japanese Car Care" on Menaul once and they were honest-- they told us something actually did NOT to be done, and then charged us nothing. They even let us go back and look under our car.

A lot of people like "Ethridge," but they have limited services and can be really busy. I used them about 8 years ago and they were honest (again, recommended we not do something we mistakenly thought needed to be done).

I used to see Dr. Don Gutierrez, on Carlisle (across from the Smith's, at Constitution). He was pretty good.
