Dentists and auto service

Jan 16, 2006 20:55

Can anyone recommend any good dentists and auto repair/service centers (particularly for SAAB vehicles)? Also, to the maintainer, could you save this entry as a "memory" if it generates useful replies?

medicine, advice, cars, dentist

Hunter Mortley is AMAZING.

his ad is kinda dorky, but i swear... he'll fix you up before you know whats going on. i had a cavity filled by him a few years ago, and i thought he was just giving me a shot, 2 minutes later i turns out he had shot, drilled and filled the whole thing. i didnt even notice. his nurse was just talking to me about her lunch or something. everyone is super nice, and that hes so kid friendly goes a long way for adults too.

Does he take United Concordia, do you know? I hate/am terrified of the dentist and am looking for a halfway decent one as well.

i could call and find out. my insurance just changed to UC this year as well and i have not needed it yet.

i'll try and get back to you about it.

i always hated the dentist and even got one fired for malpractice when i was younger... Mortley renewed my confidence though and i cant thank him enough.

Definitely. I have really sensitive gums and my old dentist always poked, prodded and probed with any little sharp tool he could find, c ausnig me to taste my own blood at times, and all he'd be able to say was: "You need to brush more. They shouldn't be bleeding like this." To which I would reply: "Well, if you wouldn't stab my gums like some kind of untender roast, perhaps they wouldn't."
Sounds like this Mortley guy is both nice and not an asshole.
I hope he takes UC.

Something that you can do to make your posts more findable in the future is to tag them. I've gone ahead and tagged your request. You'll find that the albuquerque community has a link on the bio that goes to all the posts tagged "advice".

Do you still want it in the memories?

For mechanical stuff I use Mastertech on Morningside. They have worked on everything from my 1948 Studebaker to our Subaru Outback. Damn good work too.
