from the email: What they want to know,

Who they write about, where we can read it, why they like writing slash, and ( Read more... )

FIRST COMMENT!

THis is going to be ammmmaazzinggg.

HOPEFULLY I CAN READ IT EVENTUALLY IF MY NME EVER COMES. I SUBSCRIBED LIEK 3 MONTHS AGO.

She seems to be a bit misled though - "what must it involve"? Nothing, really, except ... at least one person from the band?

How did she know to contact you? Did she contact other people? Just curious...

AHAHA I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I subscribed some two months ago and recently got a letter telling me the first issue I'd receive would be January 26 or something.

OMG. That's great. (A How to guide!) Well, I'm not actually a slash writer, so I haven't got much to say, but ... someone should definitely mention the phenomenon that is schoolboy fic. Possibly with reference to the Pipettes' school uniform song or similar :D

If they do, could I be kept out of it, please? There are loads of better schoolboy fics, so I doubt my name would come up, but just in case...

I didn't even mean any specific names. Just that it exists, and how much of it, when it's not like all those bands were performing in school uniforms or something. I wasn't even thinking of a specific fic, to be quite honest. There's loads of it by now, some of which is indeed very good, no need to stick with one eternal example, so don't worry :)

I know, that's exactly my point. I was just saying, for the record, that if names were named I'd prefer it if mine wasn't one of them.

Any how-to guide that I write will say that ALL indie boy slash MUST have at least one NME editor involved. Mmmmhm!

Um. Without meaning to start shit, is it okay just to comment here and say thanks but no thanks? In as much as I'd just rather not have anything to do with it?

They can quit trying to make my counterculture statements mainstream.
