Massachusetts Special State Primary

Well, I got my absentee ballot yesterday for the Massachusetts special state primary... this is to choose a Democratic contender to run for the Senate seat vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy.
There are four people on the ballot and I've never heard of any of them. I don't really follow Massachusetts politics that much, as I have been away for 11
