Painting is (almost) completely done!!

Yay! This week, we finished the vast majority of the painting: three bedrooms, a bathroom, and touching up another bathroom and several other rooms and hallways. They look soooooooooooooooooo much better. I would love to post before and after pictures so you can see the difference... but, as usually happens, I'll probably never get around to it.

LOL - I totally agree that SW is *terrible* paint. Behr we generally found was okay, but our favorite available for sale at Home Depot was Glidden. *Always* covered in only one coat, and generally only runs around $16 a gallon. Problem is, Home Depot won't mix Behr colors into Glidden paint, and Glidden's color options are pitiful.

Our current living room was painted using the Valspar basic paint from Lowe's and has a nice mix of colors, and has proven to be really good paint. We've only had to do one coat on wood paneling with touchups, which is pretty impressive. Now I just have to finish painting. :o)

I'm with you on the Behr love. We've painted all but two rooms in the house, all of them in Behr. I prefer satin over flat though - I think flat tends to look dirty more quickly and it's harder to clean.

...on the plus side, we have houses and we can fluently participate in conversations on DIY home improvement, right...?

Frankly, I'm just happy my house no longer contains Barbie pink, fuchsia, sherbet orange, or giant, multi-colored polka dots.
