It finally rained today! *dances* And as predicted, when it rained, it poured. The thunder was booming very loudly, and the lightning was striking almost constantly. And of course, with me being the rain/thunderstorm fangirl that I am, I ran outside, stood on my porch as I fantasized about ( Read more... )

I also had asparagus for dinner! :p

I freaking love thunderstorms. We don't get them as often here, and when we do they're not as spectacular as the ones I've experienced up in Ontario. The whole sky will light up with the lightning, we rarely get the fork lightning. It poured for a few minutes this morning, though. I could hear it outside. I love opening my window and listening to it when I'm laying in bed. <3

For Indian cinema, while I haven't really watched much myself, my Hinduism prof recommended watching the 80s television production of the Ramayana. We learned the story of the Ramayana in class, and it's fascinating!! Do you know it? I think Sita is a wonderfully strong female character (especially at the end when Rama asks her to walk through fire a second time to prove she remained true to him and she just tells him to piss off and gets her mom to take her home aka back to the earth).

Oh yes, I love that too. <3

I do know of the Ramayana, but I have not seen the film adaptation. But it would be very interesting to see!

BOLLYWOOD! ♥!! I love it on principle, I believe. The only suggestions I have are Bride and Prejudice (which is the one and only "chick" flick I enjoy) and maybe Bend It Like Beckham? I only saw it once, so I don't know if it counts. Btw, is that Aishwarya Rai? She's one of the prettiest women ever, I think.

The freak storm only lasted a couple of minutes, though, but still enough to form a giant lake in the middle of my street.
~ Did you play in it!? I so would have. :D

Oh yeah, Bride and Prejudice! I had completely forgot about that one! And yes, that is Aishwarya. ^^

I did not. Because it was all muddy, haha.

XD That's the whole idea! *evil laugh*
