Gaming limbs of the Kraken

Aug 16, 2010 22:10

The Kraken was a whole lot of fun. That bit more relaxed than the standard three-day sprint of a con, rather cosy in size, but with plenty of stuff going on. For now I'm just going to comment on some of the games I played: doubtless I'll miss some, or want to comment more broadly, so I'll probably revisit later (still).

Details, pics. )

kraken, cosmic encounter, germany, glory to rome, heroquest, gaming, roleplaying, conventions, glorantha

Looks like a fun con/holiday. Glory to Rome looks fun. When did you say you were picking up a copy? (bats eyelids)

I picked up Small World and RFTG: The Brink of War while you were away, as well as a surprise game present for Sam's birthday last Sunday. I'll let her tell you about it.

Gaming on Wednesday, perchance?

Wednesday gaming works for me -- actually, I'm at a loose end tonight, too. (Pesky flaky Tuesday night crowd, mutter-mutter.) Looking forward to poking around your acquisitions...

I'm pretty keen on picking up GtR, though I'm not wild about playing a tenner in postage just for the one thing. Just the sort of item one needs a well-stocked local game store for. (I wonder if that Dublin lot carries it?)
