I thought I was going to see them finally attempting to cater to a wider audence (including me) with a deeper, emotional story but I knew 5 minutes in that it was not the movie they advertised it to be. It felt like a parody of the movie from the trailers.
A very forgettable flick (though maybe slightly more enjoyable a second time than the Avengers) and a missed chance if you ask me. I remember how, even with my DC bias, I sincerely enjoyed Iron Man and this was just such a far cry from that. But now I'm even more excited for Man of Steel. XD
A DAMN PARODY, yes, this definition is spot on. The comic relief is just so redundant and unneeded and unwanted that it really makes you wonder if Disney actually had a saying in the script.
I actually loved the Avengers, and I have watched it more times than I can count (I can recite the script, I think, or most of it anyway), and the fact that they screwed up with IM so much, in such a blatant way, makes me 10 times angrier.
I'm not much of a DC fan because of the broody-sad past hero- current they have for every of their series, but I do enjoy the movies (and Arrow, but that's a dirty secret of mine) and after seeing the trailer I can say that yes, I'll probably want to see Man of Steel at the theater and not only downloaded XD
Uh yeah, now I'm really worried for the second wave of marvel movies too. Thor included. For what I've seen in the trailer it still should be good, but after the extreme difference between the tone of IM3 trailer and the actual movie, I don't know what to expect. I will see Thor2 anyway, but I'll probably go to the theater less excited and more worried.
