I've only watched half the HBO thing (I had to comment on this STRAIGHT away and will spam you more later), is Dan saying this:

'One of my favourite things about the film is that it is - it is dark, and it is... about Harry growing up and realising that not all adults are friendly.'

ExCUSE me? Has he not NOTICED that Harry GREW UP WITH VERNON AND PETUNIA????? Did he not discover that some freakazoid murdered his parents years ago?

The ten-second snippet was so promising, and ever since the full teaser trailer and this HBO thing hit my radar, I've been feeling so disappointed. If Dan's playing a character who's only just noticing that there are bad people in the world, I'm worried.

I hope what he's trying to get at is there's dark sides to Sirius, and Molly, etc. I hope.

I gave up on Harry ever being remotely in character a long time ago. At least what they do to hi isn't as bad as what they do to Ron and Hermione.

My friends's just emailed me her alternative theories on the green/blue masks:

Maybe the DA have their own masks, or maybe its ministry people going undercover to infiltrate the Death Eaters really badly. MAYBE these are masks to protect their masks, as I imagine skulls on the faces break easily.

Ok, but this is what they are: voldemort wears different masks. Like in the mummy. He wears a new one each time, because........fashions change. (he can do what he wants, he is the dark lord)

I think I agree with every single thing you wrote in this post. I think I want to MARRY this post; it made me laugh so hard.
