And I agree about the epilogue. I mean, it wasn't a happily-ever-after badfic thing, it was just that all was well. It says so, lol. It's what Harry wanted: just a simple, normal life. He, in a way, got what his parents never had, and I think that that is very touching, because they would want him to have it. I didn't like the kids' names, but what can you do?

As the peaceful and therefore LEGITIMATE and REAL voice of reason, I say Luna/Dean for immediately-after-DH-fic, 'cause it was sort-of-ish canon and cute. Whether Luna ditches Dean and jumps Neville after that is up to her ;)

Luna's painting was... well yeah, a bit creepy. But the thing is, they know she's strange, and they know that apart from them she's had hardly any friends at Hogwarts at all. My reaction was just to squeal at her cuteness and clear longing for some proper pals.
WORD on the epilogue. And let's not forget that it's what JK wanted for Harry as well, right from the start! She wrote this (bar the changes she made) ages ago, it has huge emotional significance for her. There was no way that she was not going to put it in as it was.

i thought 'tuney' was absolutely adorable. apparently some people are mad about that nickname. the same people - i'm convinced - who thought 'cissy' was stupid too.
Lol that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Narcissa I sort of understand, because she has a bit of a fanbase, and I can see losers getting upset about a silly nickname - but Petunia? Who cares?
