I would like to propose that we test the effectiveness of iron that has been coated with a solution that protects it from oxygen and moisture against the fae. If we can eliminate the issue of keeping iron on the outside of buildings, we won't need to worry about the possibility of keeping them inside provided they prove effective.
As for this 'chess,' exactly what kind of game is it? I can't say I've heard of it before and I'm... curious.
