The events of the past week have shown us a great deal more than had before been seen or known of. Evidently, residencies such as my own, as well as the bathhouse and the inn, were visited by the fae. Do we have any other marked occurances? Taking note of anything that happened these past few days seems necessary for future reference. The fae that I encountered was one I have not seen before - capable of siphoning blood through the fingernails.
[He pauses, before smiling, warm and gracious. His thanks, after all, are earnest.]
I must extend my thanks to those who came to my aid, and, indeed, to all of those who were working so tirelessly to ensure the safety of others as much as they were able.
I am glad to see that we are, in most part accounted for, accounted for. Our work to protect each other must begin in earnest now. Faldain Randir has agreed to work in ensuring such, but it is imperative that he or myself hear from anyone who has the ability or desire to help.
Beginning with the inn, the bathhouse, and the town hall remains the most prudent choice.
[He pauses a moment. Usually, he'd keep these little thought processes to himself, but it will serve better to make them known here. Besides, he's aware there are probably people who know more about this than him, and this is something of an appeal. He raises a hand to his face, eyes averted for a moment, expression thoughtful, before he turns to face the camera again, to put his attention back upon those watching.]
My main concern regarding working with iron is the likeliness of corrosion occuring. Alloys do little to prevent the fae as the metal itself does when pure, but using iron as a tool in building seems quite out of the question for the time being.
Perhaps thin rods placed around any form of possible entrance would be enough to keep the fae outside. These would be easier to replace as necessary... I wonder, would we be able to keep them on the inside? Corrosion of the metal would be even slower, then, but the vulnerability that doing so would inflict is paramount.
[Safety first and such, must ensure people are protected, that they feel protected, at least.]
Thanatos, are you still with us? I believe we should be able to publish that information in the near future. It is, after all, long overdue - forgive me, please - but we are better equipped to provide such a thing now.
[Another smile, as he sits back, one gloved hand coming into view. He is twirling something through his fingers.
It's a chess piece - the black king, to be precise.]
One final thing I'm curious about - do we have any other chess players among us? It's been a while since I was able to have a game.
[He takes up the communicator. The video is switched off, the feed becoming audio only for the filtered section.]
[SUZAKU KURURUGI // 97%]
Major Kururugi, there is a matter I feel I should discuss with you. I imagine it is something which has crossed your mind already, but you deserve clarification.
[LLOYD ASPLUND // 97%]
Now would probably be the best time to start.
[LELOUCH & NUNNALLY VI BRITANNIA // 97% // viewable to KANON MALDINI]
I am going to make our position known to Suzaku. It seems the only viable option.
