On Hawthorn & Vine, it's so far received 83 reviews. I've never received that many reviews on the first chapter of any piece anywhere before. After it's been updated a few times a similar number

Thank you! :) Haha, I've been soooooo blocked by the pressure on this one for literally years before. Ack. I'm going to have to simply let it go and say fuck it. But it can be so very hard. XD I've also come across people quoting it on Tumblr and stuff and I'm just all... What if they hate chapter two? WHAT THEN?? When the truth is that if everyone hates chapter 2, then life will still go on as it always has, lol. I need to get over feeling like it matters.
ah, i know what that's like. not with fic though, lol XD . i'm not such a popular writer.
but relax, they love your writing and it's a series, with fans, they won't be upset if one chapter isn't amazing, right? (although i'm sure your next chapter will be great, but i don't think you need to put yourself under pressure, hehe)
It's the continuation to a story that had lots of smut and a bit of angst and ultimately an unhappy ending that tied into canon. (It's Draco/Hermione -- Draco wipes Hermione's memory of their relationship in my fic and it's very strongly hinted that he then after the end of the story attempts to kill old Dumbles etc to protect his family) People like their happy endings, so they're hoping they'll get it in Take 2. XD Not a happy ride I have planned, though. (ETA: Not commenting at all on the ending, only the path to it. Just... before some lurker gets the wrong idea.)
Haha, kind of unrelated: I've had a lot of comments over the years - and even a couple on this chapter - that are like but if she has sex with someone else, how does she explain to herself that she isn't a virgin? (Because she was pre forgotten relationship) And it's like... It doesn't hurt for everyone? I actually have to explain to (often) grown women that not everyone has torn hymens, blood and pain the first time? And why would she even question her own experience?

BB, knowing as much as I do about the story, I can wholeheartedly assure you (and anyone else who might be reading) that the hype is very much deserved! I'm so glad that people have responded so positively so far-- but, to be quite honest, I can't say that I'm surprised. =)
(Wtheck is the tag "who wants to tap robbie rotten," btw?!)
This was a highly anticipated sequel, so of course the first chapter would receive plenty of reviews. I remember reading Silencio and being so heart broken about it all and asking if there would be more, and they'd get together, and the word was you had no intention. But as soon as I saw that you had a new story, and it was a sequel to something I've been waiting forever for, you had me squealing like a prized pig at the state fair!
Seriously though, I know people have high expectations of you, but you're an amazing writer and always exceed them. I can't think of any of fiction that you've written that has left me disappointing.
On that note, I haven't read chapter 1, because I'm going to wait until you've posted the whole thing and read the reviews to find out if it's sad in the end again. Because, let me tell you, I did not know how Silencio was going to end, and I got really really into it. And then BAM, I cried so hard when it ended. Like for days! I was depressed! But even then, I knew you were an amazing writer - if you could

Ugh. People kept me asking over and over and over and OVER if I still planned the damn sequel and I would always say YES, I DO. Yet some asshats still went around saying I wouldn't. I get that fandom at large is filled with unfinished WIPs and broken promises but not from me, dammit. Gah. XD Kind of an annoyance of mine.
Thank you. :) As for fear of the ending... haha... GOOD! ;) But I think fandom will come after me if I completely wipe her memory again, hahahaha.
Yah, I figured it may happen eventually. You are one of the consistent writers I have found in fandom and I will never doubt you again. *bows down in sign of good faith*
I'm pretty sure it was Silencio (it was the second Dramione I ever read) was hooked me to fandom - even if I nearly died from dehydration. Anyway, your stories will always have a soft spot in my heart.
Yes, I fear for it, and I will be part of the angry lynch mob that goes after you if her memory gets wiped again!
Waiting for COCK to get back from beta so that's up next. Since I've been sick, Secrets might take a little bit longer.
You know, I've felt like I've written NOTHING but happy endings for ages and then someone on Tumblr asked me why I never wrote happy endings (or if I ever planned to write a happy ending or something) and I was like wat. Ô_o So confused. I thought they get each other = happy. And, I mean, they usually do! In some capacity. Eh. Idgi. Do they want babies? Is it the lack of babies? G, YOU HAVE TO TELL ME!
