Hahaha, they're not ALL bad. I've already read a few awesome fics as well! It's just... considering the beta requirement, you'd think there'd be less poorly edited fics, ya know?

Or they had a decent beta but didn't send the fic to them after the final edit stage despite a substantial amount of rewriting. In that case, poor the beta, if their name is mentioned.

Anyway, what I've read so far are not that bad SPaG-wise, but I've read only 3 so that's not saying much. I'm curious. Does the author of the mistakes-in-each-paragraph story mention a beta? You don't have to answer if you think it fuins the vagueness.

Dude, did you notice the sentence structure in my post here?

The difference is, this is basically glorified chit-chat. A fic is a story one is supposed to immerse oneself in.

Haha, I mentioned that exact scenario to someone else the other day and we both agreed we'd object to having our names put on that crap. XD

The sad thing is that I can think of at least three like that off the top of my head and no, they didn't all list betas. Which makes me doubly suspicious that they simply thought they'd submit without using one.

Sadly, this tends to happen every time. I am with you! It should not! I could really start ranting but that does nobody any good. :)

Yeah... I doubt my rant did anybody any good either, but I was frustrated, dammit! XD
