Where's Eve? (Intermediate Level)

Jan 31, 2011 19:53

Today I had a fitting for a movie I'm working on in a couple of weeks, "J. Edgar." It's about J. Edgar Hoover (duh) and so we had to be fitted in period outfits from the 1930's. So much fun! I can't wait for the shoot. Hopefully I'll be able to get someone to take a picture of me in costume, since I doubt I'll be visible in the crowd ( Read more... )

You make me almost wish i had cable. Also, geez, call me or something! :) I never talk to you anymore!

Definitely not worth getting cable just in the hopes of catching little glimpses of me randomly wandering through TV shows of varying quality. =P The sentiment is appreciated though.

I know! Let me clear my desk here a little, then I'll get on IM. Though it might be a little late now for you, but I should be on tomorrow evening.

Isn't it fabulous? I own that dress. ^_~ Never realized how it could be used to make me look like an eighties librarian before.

I just updated this entry with some upcoming stuff, in case you're interested!

Oooh. J. Edgar! I've been looking forward to that one, so have a really good time on it!!

I saw the HIMYM episode!

here's another stupid question.... has cutting your hair been a boon to extra work in any way that you can tell? I would have thought long hair would be more flexible and therefor usable, but now I think maybe that just works for the featureds.

Thanks! I hadn't heard about it except as constant notices on the casting website, but it looks like a cool film now that I've looked it up.

Also not a stupid question. =P As far as background, I don't think it's really helped or hurt me. There are times they specifically want longer hair for one reason or another, but almost everything is modern day and wants variety, so short and long hair both work. I do miss the flexibility of long hair, though, and I also do think it's advantageous when you're going for principal work (roles with lines and names and stuff). Mine is growing out, but not as quickly as I'd like.

J. Edgar did call specifically for hair of shoulder length or shorter, though, so that's one example of when it was a boon! The hair department didn't touch it today. They loved the length it's at.

HIMYM wasn't hard- I saw you like 10 times in that ep! (of course, you'd told me where to look....) Amazingly, I actually saw that ep. of House, but didn't see you, so there you go.

HEEEEEE for Bones and Chuck! I love when you're on shows I actually watch :D

Ironically, you saw like ten repetitions of the same three shots. ^_~ As for House, I expected that one to be hard with all the funky camerawork that was going on, but it lingered on the banner for a second and Nora actually managed to pick me out, she claims pretty easily.

So do I! Both for the fun of being on the actual set (being in the Jeffersonian was such a fangirl experience, I was hard put-upon not to start squeeing in a very unprofessional manner) and for the fact that I don't have to go out of my way to find out when the episode is airing, because I'm already planning to watch it. ^_~

This is really fun! I'm glad you're doing it, because even though I know you have all the episodes of these shows I don't watch, and I could sit down with you and see you "live", I have a hard enough time finding the time to keep up with the shows I do watch. So, yay!

Also, if you're ordering these by how difficult it is to see and/or recognize you, HIMYM should have definitely gone in the Beginner section. It's possibly the only one I spotted you in without coaching. (Well, that and the Virgin Mobile commercial.) :D

Looking forward to the next installment!

Heck, I don't watch most of them myself. ^_^; I just get them on my computer and skip through until I get to the scene(s) I'm in. Sometimes I do one where working on it gives me the impression that the episode will be interesting and then I want to watch it, but otherwise, who has time to watch this many episodes of shows they're not particularly interested in? I ask you.

As I said earlier, I decided to rank HIMYM based on the fact that it was dark and there were a lot of people in the scene. (Also I'm pretty sure I told both you and Jessie that I was right in front of Ted and his date, so that probably helped.) The Metropolitan Water commercial was probably even easier than HIMYM... if you could get your hands on the commercial.

I dunno, I suppose my standards are fairly arbitrary. It's more a way to not stuff twenty pictures in one post than anything else. =P
