*siiigh* Your Esme is so wonderful and perfectly in character. I like that she cares for Bella both for her own sake, but also for Edward's. Ah, I have this image in my mind of Esme holding Bella's baby, and it's making my heart and eyes do all kinds of funny things.

Hee. Alice is excellent as always. It's too bad you're so busy with your two WIPs, because I would dearly love to see you write something Alice-centered... maybe Alice /Jasper. Oh yum.

And Edward! What on EARTH are you going to do with Jake, you evil, evil author?! His wife is obviously meant to be with Edward Cullen, nothing's going to change that... but I think it would be rather awful of you make Bella say that to Jacob, as if she hadn't been through enough already. I'm so looking forward to reading whatever you have planned, but I do not envy you having to write it. I mean, either way, how will she be able to do it? We all know how selfless Bella is, and picking Edward would be very selfish of her, so I'm sure her conscience is telling her to stick with Jake - but I ( ... )

The grad student I mentioned was a reference to another fic by this brilliant author, not something I actually expect to happen in this story. For the record.

I truly enjoyed writing Esme in this chapter. It was nice, because I'd never felt very 'synched' with her before. But she just quietly stepped up and took command.

I would *love* to do an Alice/Jasper fic. Maybe at some point. *grin*

Trust me, I have moments of dismay at this particular evilness of mine. I will say that I fully intend to show that all actions have their consequences. Although.. is that really comforting? *grin* Also, by no means will Bella be writing any dear john letters. Of course I would never make it that easy.

I keep warning everyone that there will be no easy choices in this story, but I don't think they believe me.

You have no idea how nice and neat it would be for me to simply drop Beth into this fic and make it all better. The temptation is huge. But... that's not the way this story goes.

Hee, I will try not to leave you waiting too long. Although Jake demands to have his say in DC first.

Love the warm fuzzy feelings right now. Esme.. this is what she was made for. To mother them. And I love to see her in her element. It's too bad that she hasn't had much of a chance to be visible like that in the actual series.

And Alice... well.. she's Alice and I expect it by now... Someday I'll post just exactly my feelings on Alice because they are lukewarm at best.

Edward though... If nothing else happened in this story... a dipiction of the end scene in Disney's Sleeping Beauty would fit well here. lol. And I would be somewhat satisfied.

Then again... there still a lot of turmoil and tension unresolved... no one would be satisfied. XD

That was pretty much my goal in this chapter, to give Esme a voice. I'm rather pleased with the result~

Aw, don't hate on Alice. lol

*grin* Yes, it would be rather lovely for him to sweep her up into a waltz and dance off, wouldn't it?

Oh yes... all that turmoil and tension. Whatever shall we do with it? What indeed...

I'm glad you did that. :)

It's not that I hate Alice. I guess today's mission will be to write exactly what it is about her... and then post it in the blog. lol.

I just watched Sleeping Beauty's final scene because of this... oui.

I have a few suggestions for the tension... mwahahaha...

PS love the beautiful icon.

I love Jake, too. I do.

However... Much as I wince to say it, at the end of the day, this is not Jake's fic.

And so I flee back to Dreamcatcher and let him be deliriously happy with Beth. It works for me, anyway. XD

I think the best way to describe it is that Bella is a wounded bird, and Esme's first and strongest instinct is to sweep her up to shelter and heal her. But yes, in her mind I think Esme has accepted and pretty much adopted her ( ... )

Oh, I'm quite positive that there is much plotting and planning in La Push to "rescue" Bella from her evil captors.

Little do they know she's in faerie land complete with a handsome prince who would kill for her without such much a blink and he has a large family who are just as equally dangerous.

I think both Esme and Alice realize that Bella is married to wrong person, that she doesn't understand true love and soulmates.

Bella herself has no concept of true love. I have no doubt she loves Jake, but she doesn't love Jake. She married him in a hurry, without much consideration to the future, because he was shipping out. It's very here and now. I'm sure they could have been happy if Edward had not happened along to interfere, but it would not have been an all consuming love that is very rare and very special.

I think Edward still have a lot of struggling to get through with his bloodlust. The baby hasn't made itself really known yet. For now it's a faint heartbeat nestled safely deep in her body.
