He knows what he wants, even if he won't admit it fully, and he won't admit it because he doesn't think he can have it. Ah, Edward.

I love Edward looking at what Jasper and Alice have and being unsettled - again, because he wants that. With Bella. *sigh*

Of course he has Esme's support. There's a baby involved, for one, and then she sees a chance for Edward to be happy as she's always wanted him to be.

Great chapter.

He's a beautiful conundrum, isn't he? *grin*

Yes, I liked that very much, too. The idea that he'd kind of tuned it out, but now he's paying attention again because he wants it for himself so badly.

Thanks for hanging in there!

Cullen wrangling is serious business~ It took me a while. XD

Yeah, Carlisle was telling me he still had things to do at the hospital. So I couldn't manage to get him home at the same time as Edward. And Edward was being slippery, I knew I had to make him face his family immediately or he'd find a way out of it. XD

Emmett really wanted to pound Edward on the back and congratulate him. Something I think would be interesting to explore sometime is how the friction between Edward and Rose tends to catch him in the middle a lot. Because Edward and Rose I think love each other because they're family, but they don't like each other very much ( ... )

I would think that Edward is afraid to speak with Carlisle since one of his greatest fears is disappointing his father, and he knows that Carlisle has witnessed his erratic behavior around Bella twice now. So there are words coming to be sure, and they won’t be nearly as kind and supportive as Esme’s were ( ... )

Carlisle's is a complex point of view. Because he's not just invested in the welfare of the family, or in Edward's welfare. Bella is his patient, and to him that is a sacred trust. If anything, because of that, he's likely to be even harder on Edward. Bella is the fragile one, Bella is the human, the one that is approaching this madness without all of the information. Edward's an adult and certainly capable of making his own choices, but we know how devastating it would be to have Carlisle disappointed with him ( ... )

Oh, wonderful! Cookies for you! XD

I love reading chapters when Edward realizes that he is in fact in love with Bella, I just love how he express the conflicting feelings because he doesn't know how that type of love feels like.

On another note, and I don't mean to look forward into your story, I really hope this has a happy ending, because I read another Bella-having-Jacob's-pup-and-being-with-Edward fic and it didn't end well, I don't think I could take another baby dying... O_o
But this is your story, so keep writing it like you want to! :D

Thank you!

That's a very good way to put it. It's very new for him. That combined with the fact that he doesn't think he has a right to feel that way makes it difficult.

Well, let's see. How shall I put this? If anyone survives this fic, it will be the baby. XD

lol, you have no idea how many people keep telling me that Bella needs to miscarry. It's a little disturbing.

Hm. This scene was a lot less explosive than I expected. I like that the Cullens mostly seems supportive of Edward, except for Rosalie, of course, and Jasper for a moment there. But the interactions between Alice and Jasper were adorable, and Emmett's divided loyalties were touching as well. Thanks for the update!

Just for curiousity's sake, where would you have placed the point of conflict?

I'm not sure, really. I guess I just expected there to be more tension, and more discussion of how Edward had put the family in danger, rather than discussion of what he intended to do about Bella. It seemed that that was what sparked the closest thing to an argument (the one with Jasper), whereas I would have expected the argument to stem from what people may have seen. I want to be clear that I don't dislike the way you did it--it just wasn't quite what I expected. And in many ways, that's a good thing! I really did like that you showed how supportive the family can be, which certainly came out more with the lack of explosive tempers! I hope what I'm saying makes sense!

Well, and please don't think I'm at all offended, but if I don't ask, then if I missed something I might not catch it. XD

I actually considered more of a direct conflict, but no one volunteered to put up much of a fight beyond Rosalie. Jasper of course is worried from a strategic position, but... while there was an acknowledgment of the danger, there seemed to be a real sense of confidence that it was something that could be neatly dealt with. The greater concern was how the issue will be dealt with going forward. Was the liability going continue, could the situation possibly progress to a more serious threat, etc.

Are they being overconfident? Maybe. And perhaps I'll just point that out to them later.

Regardless, thank you!

Loved every second of it.
Um... word, I guess would be a better choice than "second," but you get the idea.

Hey, if you're so wrapped up that you feel like it's happening in real time, I'm not gonna complain. XDD

Thanks so much!
