I remembered seeing this mentioned ages ago.  But there wasn't much information on it so I honestly forget about it until it was mentioned on my Flist today.  Well, I'm an unrepentant pirate so I downloaded and watched the first episode

According to the preview at the end of the special, it should be premiering some time in January as a regular series. I get the impression that the special was put out early so they could tweak the show according to the fans' reaction.

And my reaction was pretty much the same as yours, except for my feminist rage at there being no female characters until the last 3 minutes, and Miss Martian seeming like a little cheerleader only put there to be eye candy for the boys. :/ Everything else looks pretty fantastic.

Hmmm...point. But at the same time I REALLY liked the implication at eh Hall of Justice when someone asked Martian Manhunter "aren't you glad you didn't bring you know who?"

I don't know, that just amused me as my fanficcer mind was going through all he possible high jinx that her presence could have spawned. Heh.

So we have to wait until January? DAMN!

According to a talk I got with Greg Weisman (okay, my long suffering boss was talking to him and I was chirping questions on the way to the car like some manic parrot) it's an entirely new earth (earth 17) and therefore, everyone is different from the ones on Earth 1, (he also mentioned this at NYCC)

It's very AU from the comic Young Justice (confirmed by Peter David, the author of the comic) who will be doing some episodes.

But I have to admit, I loved it.

I makes a bit more sense that way. But....How are we going to call THIS Robin in the character listings for fics? :P
