I really like the way you write Jason: you make him believably young and angry without turning him into a caricature.

Go Dick! I refuse to believe that his presence is a coincidence! Maybe Alfred realized that something was going on with Jason, found the note as soon as he left, and called in the cavalry.

Jason wasn't a redheaded stepchild, so much as he wasn't Dick. And while that's what I loved about him, it's also what a lot of people LOATHED about him. It was also an issue for Bruce, which Alfred points out to him at one point. I would have to look up which issue that was in, but it was something a turning point for Jason really becoming his own Robin.

I highly recommend the graphic novel The Cult is you want some good robin!jason story time.

Also, I should not that while Bruce CAN be a jerk on an epic scale, I never liked how he was (and Jason) were written in ADitF. A lot of it felt very contrived, which is a part of why I wrote this, to try an make things work a little better for the characters as they had been shown up to that point.
