I like your Jason voice. He's wonderfully bitchy and in denial.

One thing, though- "And it’s not in a large city, or even a small village when he looks it up so. Well crap." The "so" there seems a bit out of place- maybe "so... crap" or something would read better? Or just take it out entirely.

Still- can't wait for more!
