Probably... I dunno, none of my RL friends care at all about comics/cartoons, so they don't even pay attention when I wax poetic about the relationships in the DC world.
Speaking of cartoons, d'you have a DVD box set or are you watching JL streaming? Because I haven't been able to find Hereafter anywhere on the 'net, and it's making me really sad, since I didn't even see it when it was first aired. :(
Which season is Heareafter on? I have the DVDs for a few seasons of JL - I could probably help ya out. :D
Oh... and if you guys want slashy B/C in comics, you should SO have a look at Superman/Batman Annual #2. There are quotes in there that are SO slashy. Annual #1 also has a few nice little things, like Bruce and Clark in bed together. Hee!
Well, I've found that most people seem to view their least-favorite characters as the most reviled people in whatever fandom they're in, and that they're *especially* hated by whatever their favorite characters are. It's kinda weird, but that's how some people's minds work - "There's no way that awsome Character A could possibly like a lame-ass like Character B! Therefore they must hate each other!"
Honestly? I think that we all see just what we want to see, according to our personal feelings/ideas/tastes/ideals.
Guess that, if I told around the incredibly amount of slash that I came to perceive in pretty much everything, any non-slash-lover would ask me the same question of yours: "what are you reading/watching, really?". Or else "who's your pusher? 'cuz the shit he sells sounds real GOOD, woman".
I suppose you take want you want from any given medium. It was the cartoons that made me slash the guys in the first place.
I recently watched the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and found my self mentally slashing Darcey and Bingly. That would have never happened before reading slash. You see what you want to.
