After Irene

Following up on my pre-Hurricane Irene status.

The weathermen certainly weren’t kidding when they said Irene would wallop America’s east coast. I’m still mind-blown by all the images on TV: towns flooded, damage galore, even casualties. Mother Nature is one scary lady. My deepest prayers to everyone affected by this disaster.

You are not the only one who has 2012 on the mind. Whenever I think of it, my heart starts palpitating, and I try to expel the thought from my brain immediately. It's just all too...Biblical, all of this. Too massive, too frequent, too historical...what is happening here? I'm honestly scared.

But if it is a message from God, I understand why. The world has gone to pot. He was angry when he sent Noah's flood. He promised it would never happen again, but what if mankind is really starting to piss Him off royally again? I mean, think about it... I could give dozens of examples why God would be disappointed in our civilization today.

Anyway, I am so glad you are okay. I have to write my update here soon and share my story of being in NY's Irene Ground Zero, and how I lived to tell the tale...

If that other K-storm comes anywhere near us, that's it, man, I'm done. I'm just done.
