down this street before,
but the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before.
All at once am I on my ass and I
see the ice on the street where I live.

Are the sidewalks slick in the heart of town?
Do I slide like this in any other part of town?
And the snow doth fly straight into my eye

Back in the midwest I was known to burst out in the classic Animaniac's song...

We're slipping on the ice!
Just slipping on the ice!
For a fabulous prat fall
just follow this advice -
Let your feet take a slip,
"I've broken my hip!"
We're slipping, and sliding on the ice!"

On one notable occasion when I slipped on a patch (exclaiming as I fell, "FWIP!"), my friend Belmont looked down at my crumpled form and stated: "Wow Meg, I've never seen a human body fold like that!"
