Yay for anti-virals and this whole thing being fairly mild.
Not yay for your brother starting the swine flu epidemic in your city. *pets his dumb head (but with latex gloves on)*
Do EXACTLY what the doctor says and get NK to bring stuff to you if/when you need it. No going out. Bertaline probably shouldn't either, to be fair, but if she's showing no symptoms then she can maybe risk it.

It's because it's so mild that he didn't think that he had it. He was reasonably unwell, but because it didn't feel like "OMFGFLU!" he was in denial. Stupid boy.
Jac's got it too. She started with it before me - yesterday morning. But we've got paracetamol, ibuprofen and decongestants in the house so we're sort of set.
Mainly I'm just all "WTF?!" because it's something we're HEARING about but then part of my brain was all "Ha - it'll be a WHILE before it goes round enough for ME to get it..."
I've also warned NK because he's been with me allllll weekend so has pretty much got it and works at a university.
It's WEIRD. I mean, I knew intellectually that I was going to get it at some point? But I never thought this EARLY, you know? I'm still all "BUT THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE HAVE IN THE NEWS AND ON THE TELLY, NOT IN REAL LIFE."
Oh, honey, that is horrifying (and mrrrh at your brother, too) and just... crap. I really really hope you can get to the doctors soonest and that you get to feeling better most rapidly. *hugs TIGHT*
*hugs you so so so so much* So so hoping you've got sufficient supplies around and that all of you are feeling better very very soon. *sends much love and many get-better-soonest thoughts*

Also? NK is feeling sore-throaty and unwell so he's going to call his GP too and if he's got it come and hole up here with us.
