Step away from the crazy OTP-lady.

Sep 04, 2008 18:12

So this may be a bit rambley, but I want to talk about my favourite boy-pairing in the whole wide world: McKay/Sheppard.

Call it McShep, John/Rodney, McKay/Sheppard...it all comes out the same - i.e. making me grin like an idiot. And that's sort of what I want to talk about.

McShep, OTPage, tin-hattery and squee behind the cut. Enter at your own risk! Also, spoilers up to and incl 5x06 - The Shrine )

fandom, ships, tv: sga, tin-hattery, slash, mcshep

Yes. *smushes them together* Remember when people were worried that with the new producers, seasons 4 and 5 would not be as gay as the previous ones? Hehee.

Oh what fools we were to doubt them and their utter awesometasticness. We should find them and gift them with trinkets. Like gold and that cool putty that sticks to stuff.

I cannot spend a lot of time tin-hatting right now! But I don't need to, because what you said, that's what I am thinking. *grins* And yay you for saying all this, since it gave me a big grin at work.

They are as ultimate an OTP for me as Fraser/Ray -- I can see no other explanation through the gleam of my shining headgear.

I was planning this entry at work today and GRINNING like a fool at random points. My work colleagues already know I'm strange so it's ok.

Boysssssss. Their love is so meant to be. :D

Awww, honey, ilu. Your glee when we watched The Shrine yesterday was a joy to behold. I can't wait until we actually get to watch it in the same room (only 1 week now, yay!).

And YES! I'm not an epic tinhatter (in that I'm quite happy to slash Rodney with others, and even John sometimes), but OMG, seriously, there is so much love there and it almost doesn't matter what kind, if it's I-want-to-fuck-you love or romantic platonic love, it's clearly one of the most important things in both of their lives. *smishes them so hard* *also you. I smish you*

It must have been like when I got to watch you watching Miller's Crossing. \o/ GLEEE!

See? YES. Exactly. They are so important to each other and that's just amazing. And it's not that I don't see the potential for other pairings - but I can't see the wood for the trees. The trees being so in loooove. :D

I was just recced your fic! So that works out well really :D

Because YES - The Shrine just overtook Miller's Crossing as my slash-favourite of all time.

LOL! And then I go and REC MYSELF. I'm bad that way. But seriously, what you said about the ep is EXACTLY what I've been thinking. And also, "You're stuck with me, Rodney; just accept it" has now replaced, "Hook me up to him again" as my new favourite romantic J/R line of the entire series. :) I don't think you need the tin hat with this pairing any longer - it's about as canon as you can get without swapping bodily fluids on-screen.

Yes yes yes! Because I think the general consensus would usually be that John was stuck with Rodney. "Oh poor John - that arrogant scientist seems to like you it must be hard having him around..." kind of thing. But that's not the way it is - Rodney's stuck with John because John won't say goodbye - he'll be there to the horrible, painfully bitter end.
